I have recently joined CISTIB at the University The Sheffield,running the Technology Officer position, I have been requested by the CISTIB exBoard, as one of the main goals of the SSD department, to support CTK initiative in the same way that it have been done since the beginning. Also because the CISTIB understand that it is important to progres on interoperability, and because CTK is included on several of our projects and proposal, as a way to support this initiative . At the beginning of my career(long time ago)I started to working to work in commercial software development working for more than 12 years for Accenture, on 2009 I started my own company working with several research labs, in IT related projects. It is just lately that I have started to be more involved on biomedical image computing, where I still have a lot to learn. Anyway I hope I can collaborate to create a better research software following best engineering practices, that I have just discovered is not so common on Research software ,as I am hearing general complaints on the community about the reliability of it. My intention for the following years is to demostrate with the hedlp of CISTIB-SSD Team that is is possible to do both great research and great software, and that one help the other.
