Ernesto Coto received the BSc (2000), MSc (2004) and PhD (2008) degrees in Computer Sciences from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). Since 2000, he has been a faculty member of the Computer Sciences Department and a key member of the Computer Graphics Group, at UCV. From 2004 to 2005, he was a Visiting Scientific Researcher in the Institute of Computer Graphics and Algorithms at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria. From 2005 to 2007 he was a Visiting Senior Scientific Developer at Biotronics3D Ltd., UK. Currently, he is part of CISTIB (Computational Imaging and Simulation Technologies in Biomedicine) Scientific Software DEvelopment team at the University of Sheffield, UK. He has co-authored numerous scientific articles, published in international journals and congresses. He has also organized international conferences, done peer-reviewing for numerous scientific events and is the co-inventor of one pending patent in the UK. His main research interests are Computer Graphics, Scientific Visualization and Image Processing.
